My approach to coaching is that it’s a whole-life experience. You set out to tackle one challenge, and when you do good work in that effort, it positively impacts all the other aspects of your life.
It’s about energy: Being centered in your energy is being strong in your youness. Your individuality and integrity. Your confidence. Your joyful forward motion in life. Your internal sense of freedom.
How do you know you’re moving toward your ideal self without a system for reflection and self-exploration? Checking in with yourself accelerates growth and helps cement new learnings. It allows you to celebrate your “wins” and to recognize barriers and negative, repeating patterns. Self-examination helps you become able to listen to the deeper, more intrinsic voice that is longing to guide you.
A lot of people say their life is “crazy” busy, but many miss the fact that productivity doesn’t just mean getting a lot done in a day – it means getting the right stuff done so there’s time for rest and playfulness. Knowing how to manage your time is one of the most important keys to being able to create a life you love to be living.
Almost half of our daily actions are comprised of habits – and that increases when we consider that these habits have a domino effect in the way they influence the rest of our actions and thoughts. Knowing how to break the habits that don’t work in your favor, and create habits that do is a necessary part of personal growth. Habit change doesn’t have to be challenging; with the right approach it can even feel seamless.
A beautifully lived life is one in which you know you’re doing the best you can for yourself. While this plays out in countless and individualized ways, it starts with the basics of how you take care of your health. Having great physical health, or moving toward improved physical health, is a foundation for empowerment in all other aspects of life.
I call on my clients to have an existent spiritual practice, or to develop one. Whether it is alignment with a religion or a meditation practice, or another spiritual discipline, spirituality provides an inner sense of self-knowledge and a moral compass, and contributes to a general sense of purpose.
The benefits of feeling that you’re contributing to the health and well-being of the world around you go far beyond the immediate gratification you get from your conscientious contributions. Giving to the greater world in actions or financial gifts or alignment with personal principles fosters the parts of your identity that are able to think bigger, broader, and deeper. It also satiates the parts that crave feeling meaningful and valued.
What would you not include from this list? What would you add? Let’s talk about that! Let’s discover what your core principles are and see that you’re living an integrated, aligned life. That’s a life of empowerment, health and wealth, and true happiness.
I have a BA in psychology, and a background in personal training and nutrition. I’m an ICF certified coach, and an NBC-HWC. Personal growth and the lifelong pursuit of internal freedom and happiness are my passion and the through line of all my life stages.
